Skew Soma
$99.99 Oskar van Deventer writes:
“Skew Soma is a skewed version of the Soma Cube. This makes it harder to solve, as it has fewer solution (how many) than the 240 solutions of the regular Soma Cube. Moreover, the skewed shape of the pieces causes disorientation. The version on the photos was 3D-printed in a rainbow color pattern, because Patrick Luteijn asked for this.”The set of pieces took 10 hours to 3D print on a Dutchy 3D printer, as well as 12 filament swaps during that time. 36 meter of 1.75-mm wood-filled PLA filament was used to print it. The puzzle weights 106 gram.
Oskar van Deventer, has created many different puzzles including his brand of Oskar Puzzles which are mechanical puzzles and objects that can only exist thanks to 3D printing technology. Since 1978, he has been creating hundreds of mechanical puzzles, making him one of the world’s most prolific designers. Several of his innovative designs are commercially available.
