Across the World

$69.99 Across the World is a 3D printed sliding pieces puzzle designed by Samuel Farinas. It has a 3×3 intersection of tiles and an additional row of tiles in each arm. To begin, remove the four stoppers that hold the puzzle in place.  You will see that the tiles can now be slid horizontally and vertically using the plungers.  Mix up the colored circle and then return it to the original configuration.  Because of the multicolor circle pattern, there is only one solution.  It can be solved similar to the Rubik’s cube, in which you can use algorithms to move the tiles a certain way.  If you need hints, check out some algorithms here. Across the World was printed on an FDM printer.  Samuel drew his inspiration from the Zauberkreuz puzzle, which was an old design that was made in 1988 for the 125th anniversary of the Red Cross.
